We are off to central Brazil to see John of God(JOG) and to secure the cure for Dale's issues, Chris's issues, Morgan's issues, Beth's issues and all the issues our friends have sent with us for JOG to address. Morgan has been here numerous times and is well acquainted with process and procedure thank goodness. Otherwise, we would be very nervous.
Abadiânia is a small town and municipality in the state of Goiás, Brazil. Famously home to 'psychic surgeon' João de Deus known to the English speaking world as "John of God". To reach Abadiania, we will fly Phoenix via Atlanta direct to Brisilla on Delta. We have a driver, Edson, number is 99572875, picking us up and driving us down to Abadiania.
The Casa de Dom Inacio was established in Abadiania in 1979 by Medium Joao Teixeira de Farias, known around the world as John of God, as a place to fulfill his spiritual healing mission. The Casa operates as a Non Denominational Temple and a Spiritual Hospital where innumerable spiritual entities work to help us heal, physically as well as emotionally and spiritually. The Casa operates on the principle that anyone, regardless of their faith or religious belief is welcome at the Casa.
We are going there to LEARN and to HEAL. There are people there who along with Medium Joao(JOG) and the entities are dedicating their time and energy to facilitate a process for us to receive help in our healing. If we could see the grand scheme of spiritual matters we may be very surprised to see how little we are asked to do, but the whole thing cannot work unless we do our part too. The good news is we are there and something in our spirit brought us here. This probably means there is an opportunity for us to grow spiritually, improve our health and maybe even give of ourself to helping others.
What happens there:
After you settle into your pousada it is a great idea to visit the Casa grounds and familiarize yourself with its location and general layout. Every Tuesday night at 7:30 PM the Casa hosts an introductory talk to welcome newcomers and to update everyone on the latest rules or changes in Casa Protocol.

Here we are two days from departure. Chris has a family emergency, Morgan falls and dislocates his elbow which we later found out was broken in two places while he was finishing up packing his Palm desert home, Morgan drove over from Palm Desert with his arm in a sling, Beth has a giant virus attack her computer that takes away all her security system.... Good grief!!!!
We are all still bound and determined. Chris was here for dinner, and I am using my small lap top as the computer of choice. We are making adjustments and trying to keep our wits about us......
February 13-14 Departure and Travel Days
Happy Valentine's Day. We arrived pretty much on time with an fairly uneventful 9 hour fllight from Atlanta. Leaving from Phoenix on Sunday morning whent just as smoothly. Our comfortable layover in Atlanta and the amount of time between flights was enough so we didnt feel rushed! It was terrific having Morgan in a wheelchair as we moved to the front of the line everytime! Interestingly many of the people on the plane were going to John of God as well. Loads of talking and comparing of notes. Some famous rock star was also on the trip with us, but we are toooooooo old to recognize him.
We arrived in Abadiania at our hotel with joy. The small village of Abadiania is quiet with people strolling along the paved road, though loads of red dirt line both sides.
We ate lunch and the boys took a nap while Chris and I walked the village. We found an internet cafe, crystal shops, clothing shops mostly selling white clothes.
We slept the afternoon with quiet talks and meeting the people at out hotel who have been here at least a week. Everyone has issues and is taking all this very seriously. I hope and pray that each photo and name I brought is already in the healing process. Tonight they showed a film of the Dali Lama and his feelings about peace, calmness, and harmony.

This day was very emotional as we had our first meetings with John of God. We feel it is personal and have decided to not post all that happened today, Thursday and Friday. Everyone is very focused on their issues and in the healing process. We are well and totally involved. Morgan is doing a great job of sheparding us from one appointment to the next and explaining what is happening and what will be happening.
Your names, issues, photos and lists have been in front of John of God twice. He will personally touch each one. God is watching over each one of you and healing has begun.

Dale and Morgan spent all morning of Feb 12 at emergency which is when we found out he had broken it in two places!!...And then today came with gobs of last minute errands, getting Dasiy over to the Nelson's ( I desperately needed quality time with her before we took her over....Morgan is trying to pack with one hand, and it is his lefty!!! No shirts will fit and I cant wait to see how he will get his T-shirt off... Chris is coming over tonight to have a TEAM meeting and get our briefing from Morgan. Tomorrow is the big day of total travel to Atlanta and then on to Brazilia..just about 20 hours of trying not to leave something behind. We are going to try and go peacefully. I will probably be the first to go screaming down the airport halls.

Our driver, Gilermo, drove like a race car driver so we arrived within an hour or so. I tried taking photos as we drove along.

The country side is beautiful and very lush green. The rolling hills, sugar cane farms, cattle, all remind you of a rural midwest, full of peace and quiet after the bustling Brasilia.
